Howdy. Welcome to my second CD. My dream for years has been to someday have more than a few minutes a day to devote to music before I’m too old to play. Oh well, better luck next life. Meanwhile, I recorded these tunes in the hope that some artist or group with more time, resources and notoriety might hear something they like and record better versions.
Peace and love,
Thank you to those rare brave souls who dare to support struggling artists while they are struggling. Thank you to any DJs who've played my music, particularly Bob Zimmermann and the late great John Wallace of WDYN, also Mike Murray of WITR's "Whole Lotta Shakin'" show.
Thank you to those persons (e.g., Lois Siegel and Mark Chung) who graciously included me on their fiddle or mandolin-related websites, and to James Christopher Monger for the review on the AMG allmusic guide. Special thanks to Jen Schwartz or whoever it was who selected my song for inclusion on MTV's "MADE."
Sincere thanks to Mary Larsen for publishing my poem "Ghost Town" in Fiddler Magazine and to Stacy Phillips for publishing my article "Where Rock Meets Fiddle" in Mel Bay's Fiddle Sessions. Thanks to the folks at Oasis for putting my song on their Rock & Roots radio sampler CD. Thanks to those philanthropists who bought my first CD. Special thanks to Neal Learner for the artistic advice. Extra special thuper duper thanks to Tony Fratta for the moral and promotional support. D.G. S.D.G.
This album, fwiw, is dedicated in memory of my Rose, with love.
